Your first visit is a comprehensive examination, not a treatment session. We'll assess your teeth, gums, bite, and soft tissues, take digital X-rays if needed, and talk you through everything we find. You'll leave with a clear picture of your oral health and, if any further treatments is required, a written treatment plan with itemised costs so you can make decisions at your own pace.

Initial consultation
We start by asking about your dental history, any concerns you have, and what you'd like from your care. No question is too small, and there's no time pressure.
Oral health assessment
Your dentist will examine each tooth individually, check your gums for signs of disease, and assess the soft tissues of your mouth including your tongue, cheeks, and palate. We screen for oral cancer at every check-up.
Digital X-rays if needed
Modern digital X-rays use a fraction of the radiation of traditional films and give us a clearer picture of what's happening below the gum line and between teeth. We only take them when they're clinically necessary.
Discussion of your options
If we find anything that needs attention, we'll explain it in plain English and walk through your treatment options. There's no pressure: we want you to make informed decisions.
Personalised treatment plan
Before you leave, you'll have a written treatment plan with itemised costs. Take it home, think it over, and book individual appointments as and when you're ready.
